Each year the Mingenew Irwin Group involve the local farmers by asking them to host crop variety, management and herbicide demonstrations. These demonstrations are sown using farmer machinery, and are planted according the farmers own seeding rates, fertiliser and chemical use. In 2010 there are a number of different varieties being trialed, as well as a machinery demonstration and a new herbicide demonstration.
